How to Administer and Use this Exercise to Facilitate Behavior Change: Â Everyone has a different level of motivation when it comes to changing their behaviors. We know that a strong motivation to change is a key determinant as to whether or not the person will deliberately practice new behaviors and actions in order to change. This exercise utilizes a strategy for assessing motivation to change behavior. It stems from research on Motivational Interviewing, and is a powerful methods for moving people along the continuum of becoming ready to change.
