April 8, 2015 by Ken Nowack

This free exercise, and dozens of others, were created for our book, Clueless: Coaching People Who Just Don’t Get It. You can learn more about Clueless by visiting our site or you can buy it from amazon.com today.

Purpose of Exercise: Clients are asked to select and rate their top ten values.

How to Administer and Use this Exercise to Facilitate Behavior Change: It is extremely common to get caught up in devoting time, energy, and efforts in certain areas of our career, while neglecting those areas that are truly important to us.

As we begin to think about our values in life and what is important to us, we gain clarity about how to devote our focus and energy on what is truly important to us.

This exercise can help clients identify and prioritize their values, particularly those that satisfy and motivates them most.
