Michael R. Perrault

Michael R. Perrault is the former Manager of the Personal Leadership Development team for Intel Corporation. In this role, Michael was responsible for the corporate assessments, coaching and mentoring programs as well other leadership development efforts. Also, he was the program manager for the development and deployment of the Leadership and Manager Feedback Tools; a corporate wide, bi-annual assessment of all leaders and managers across the corporation.

Michael joined Intel through the company’s acquisition of Xircom, the world’s leader in the field of mobile computing connectivity where he was the senior director of OD and headed up Xircom University. Immediately before joining Xircom, Michael was the president of Advanced Teamware, Inc., a leading human resource development consulting and software applications company, headquartered in Agoura Hills, CA. Michael’s innovative ideas for merging organizational development technology with state of the art computer technology built ATI’s reputation as a leader in the field of high technology diagnostic instruments.

Prior to establishing Advanced Teamware, Inc., Michael was the Director of Training for Decision Dynamics Corporation in Santa Monica, CA. Mr. Perrault retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Army Adjutant General Corps in 1987. During his military career, he taught organizational behavior at the U.S. Army Organizational Effectiveness Center and School and leadership and management at the U.S. Army Administration Center. He also served in numerous staff leadership and command positions during his twenty-year military career.

In addition to his job at Intel, Michael facilitated the Total Customer Satisfaction Business Simulation at the Harvard Business School and the Stanford Business School. He has worked as a staff counselor at the Indiana University – Purdue University Center for Women, and has been a guest lecturer at Cornell University, University of Southern California, University of San Francisco, Golden State University, San Francisco State University, and The University of San Diego. Mr. Perrault was on the adjunct faculty of California Lutheran University teaching leadership and management in the MBA program for five years. Michael received a BS degree from Norwich University and his MS in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University.

Mr. Perrault is considered an expert in the fields of human performance improvement, management effectiveness, decision-making, organizational change and service quality. He has specialized in turning around the quality and effectiveness of large service organizations. As a manager, his work was the subject of several Army Research Institute studies. He has written many articles in professional publications regarding organizational development, organizational transitions and line management functions. Michael is considered a dynamic and forceful speaker and trainer who will challenge audiences to develop more effective leadership and management skills. He has appeared on CNN and his research on gender differences has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today and numerous professional journals.

He has served as a trainer and consultant to government, private industry and the nonprofit sector with such well known organizations as 1-800-Flowers, Aerojet, American Honda, ARCO, Ashland Chemical, Chevron, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Kinko’s, KMG Main-Hurdman, McDonnell Douglas, Ortho-McNeil, Occidental Petroleum, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Schlumberger, Syntex, The March of Dimes, United Distillers and Vinters, United Parcel Service, Western Digital, and Xerox.
